Sauce Mix
Supercharge the flavour of your meals with our Gluten Free Sauce Mix. Add this tasty mix to your favourite pasta sauce or macaroni cheese.

Makes 10 batches of 2 large or 3 small serves.
Ingredients
320g / 2 cups raw cashews
150g / 1 cup Anything But Ordinary Plain Flour
1 tablespoon turmeric
1 tablespoon mustard powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons sea salt
½ teaspoon white pepper
Method
Grind the cashews to a fine dry meal in a food processor or blender, being careful to stop before the oils start releasing, otherwise it starts to clump together.
Add the Anything But Ordinary Plain Flour, turmeric, mustard powder, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Mix together until well blended. The mix can be sieved to remove any pieces of cashew that remain. Store in a sterilised glass jar in the pantry or fridge for 2 months or freeze in serving size portions in zip lock bags.
To Serve
Add 50g / ½ cup Sauce Mix with 250mls/ 1 Cup liquid (milk or stock) into a saucepan and stir to combine. Stir over a medium heat until hot and thickened. Use as a white sauce on your favourite dish.
